By Opposing Naskila Gaming, Abbott is Restricting Texans’ Freedom

(LIVINGSTON, TX) — Texans are known for our spirit of self-reliance and self-determination. Texans value our personal freedom and our ability to make our own decisions about what is best for us and our families.

This is one of the reasons why Naskila Gaming enjoys such broad support from the public — Republicans and Democrats alike. Texans appreciate the freedom to visit Naskila Gaming and enjoy electronic bingo, and we don’t think the government should be making that decision for us.

Key people in the government, however, feel differently.

Governor Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Sen. John Cornyn want to shut down Naskila Gaming. That means they want to take away from Texans the freedom to decide whether to play. Their position is not only economically detrimental to the hundreds of Texans who work at and around Naskila. It is also contrary to the ideas of personal freedom and personal responsibility. These are supposed to be ideas that Texans, and Texas leaders, care about.

We believe individual Texans should decide whether to play at Naskila Gaming, rather than having the government make that decision for us. If you agree, please contact Governor Abbott and Senator Cornyn and tell them that you support personal freedom — and you support Naskila Gaming.

These decisions should be made by individuals — not by politicians.
